In the year 1959, a new chapter of history began. It was through the visionary leadership and compassionate heart of Peter Bernard Pereira, the Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram, that this story found its beginning.
The laughter of children filled the land with life, and the prayers of the elders became its firm foundation.
Those who journeyed from the land of suffering into a land of hope did not experience an ordinary migration — it was a rebirth.
Like planting trees, they built their homes — not merely with bricks, but with hope. Each home became a story:
- A story of rising above suffering.
- A story of faith.

Mass timings in Our Lady of Assumption Church Marianad, Pudukurichy
Daily Holy Mass starts at 6am everyday morning except sunday.
Evening mass at 6PM Tuesday only. Sunday three mass are avilable. Mornning 5.30 AM, 7.30 AM and 9.00 AM. Monday to Saturday 5.30 AM Adoration followed by Holy Mass at 06.00 AM

The humble beginnings of Vidyasadan date back to 1990, when Rev. Fr. Vincent Valichery started Vidyasadan Lower Primary School, sowing the seeds of quality education in Marianad. His farsighted initiative laid a strong educational foundation for the parish community and inspired many families to dream of a brighter future for their children.
The dream of establishing a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) school at Marianad was envisioned by Rev. Fr. Syrus Kalathil, the then parish priest, during the years 2007–2012. With noble ideals and a clear commitment to holistic education, he initiated the necessary steps to transform this vision into reality.
